Hi, I’m Lisa Mackie.
I’m a Graphic Designer from Long Island, NY. I grew up in a very artistic environment and knew, at an early age, I wanted to be an artist. My grandfather was an amazing illustrator, painter and photoengraver who owned 2 printing companies in NYC. My mother inherited his creative traits and she, thankfully, passed them onto me.
I was a fine arts major in college but wasn’t quite sure what I wanted to do with a fine arts degree. Half way into my schooling my father convinced me to take a graphic design class. Thankfully I listened to him because it opened up a whole new world for me and I graduated with a BFA, concentration in graphic design. I since have been blessed with a 22 year career as a graphic designer and have contributed to the growth of 3 well known retail companies.
As a graphic designer, my goal is to use my creativity, ambition and problem solving skills to help meet the needs of the company and to promote sales revenues. I always keep the customer experience in mind by maintaining balance between beauty and function whether I’m designing web sites, print ads or social media banners.
